ABOUT CHRISTINE

Christine Picón Van Duzer is a Puerto Rican living in Los Angeles who discovered her comedic roots at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), where she trains and performs improv, more recently, musical improv. She has also studied stand-up comedy and commercial acting. Armed with her sense of humor and dark chocolate, the LA-based comic and kindergarten teacher has been thriving and surviving in public education for the past twenty-four years. Teaching tiny humans isn’t for the faint of heart, but it has provided her endless material for laughs. Comedy and teaching have much in common: you must think on your feet, manage hecklers, and keep everyone engaged—even when it feels like herding cats. The only thing better than making kids laugh is getting adults to snort over the absurdities of life.
